Car smashes into crossing sign at the Monument in Southport

The emergency services were called to The Monument in Southport this afternoon 1st October after a driver lost control of their vehicle and smashed into the crossing sign.

The driver was checked by paramedics at the scene but was not injured. Police have cordoned off a section of the road until the vehicle can be removed.
