Southport put a up a much improved performance against AFC Fylde on Good Friday and will count themselves unfortunate not to come away with all three points but they will take confidence from that display as the battle for the top 7 continues. A win and the point against Fylde will look very good.

Farsley are battling for their lives. A few weeks ago they looked doomed to relegation but improved form  has seen them lift themselves off the bottom of the table but they did suffer a 2-1 defeat at the hands of fellow relegation candidates Blyth Spartans on Friday which keeps them anxiously looking over their shoulders.

Southport will have played Tuesday/Friday/Monday in what has been a tough and hectic period but the energy levels of the players was evident for all to see in the game against AFC Fylde and one thing for certain is there will be 100% commitment as we enter the final laps of the season.

The Citadel has been a happy hunting ground for The Sandgrounders with 18 goals for without reply in the last 5 games, mainly cup ties.
