Home needed for Neva and Mickey two rabbits who have been at Freshfields near Southport since April

A spokesperson for Freshfields Animal Rescue commented...

Neva and Mickey came to us as individuals in April this year.

We always make sure to give our rabbits as long as they need to settle down, and ensure they are in full health before trying to bond them. In early July, the small animal team felt that these two were ready to be matched together and from day one they have been inseparable.

Their personalities are very different, which is why we think they work together so well!

Mickey is approximately six and a half years old, and is a very hyper individual. He likes to come straight over and greet you, mainly to see if you have any treats for him. Neva is a little bit younger, with us thinking she is around one years old. She is much more laidback that Mickey, and is quite happy watching from a distance. Although if you are calm she will make her way over to you for a sniff.

Ideally, we would be looking for a home with older children who can stay calm around this pair, to make sure Mickey doesn’t get to hyper and so that Neva is relaxed.

We ask that all hutches are permanently attached to a run, measuring at least 5ft by 7ft. The bottom, if on grass, must be meshed, but if on concrete, will not. If you are considering either of these pairs as house rabbits, all wiring will need to be safely hidden away from nibbling teeth and an exercise area must be accessible at all times.

Can you offer Neva and Mickey their forever home? If so, please get in touch at [email protected], with photos of your rabbit set up.
