Merseyside Police are on the beat in Southport

Police have reacted after many posts on social media that you never see a Copper on the beat in Southport.

We often read comments on social media saying people never see us out on foot patrol in Southport. Yet here are two of our Constables photographed leaving Southport Police Station to patrol the town centre on Wednesday 8th.

Shortly after this the two officers helped an elderly gentleman who had had a fall in town. 

We still patrol on foot a lot more than people seem to realise. So next time you see us out and about, come over and speak to us.
