The controversial Orange Lodge Parades will return to Southport this July 12th after being postponed due to Covid for he last two years. Many Southport residents are against the parades as drunken behaviour from the supporters is often witnessed.
This years parade will take the usual route of starting at Derby Road down London Street going past the Monument across Lord Street onto Nevill Street turning left onto the Promenade and into Princes Park.
The parade back will be a reverse of the route in the morning.
Provincial Grand Master Steve Kingston said: “It will be a great pleasure to return to the streets of both Liverpool and Southport, to once again celebrate King Williams victory at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, and the freedoms secured for us during his reign".
