Railings save motorist from ending up in Marine Lake Southport

A motorist had a lucky escape today after reversing over the kerb and hitting the railings in the Theatre car park by the Marine Lake.

The car hit the railings with such force they buckled on impact. Damage to the car was broken rear light clusters and a bent bumper.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
