Serious incident as Police cordon off Avondale Road in Southport

Merseyside Police have cordoned off a section of Avondale Road in Southport this afternoon. A property is also cordoned off with several police cars outside.

Avondale Road has been blocked from Saunders Street end to Leicester Street end

Police were tight lipped as to what was going on .Local residents were also in the dark as to the nature of the incident.
