Southport make the long trip to Gateshead on Saturday

Southport make the long trip up to Gateshead on Saturday for a game against the current league leaders. Kick Off is at 3pm and advance tickets are available,

They don’t come much harder than this as Gateshead look to cement their place at the head of the table, knowing anything less than a win could put Brackley back in pole position but we have seen our lads can battle it out and will be keen to show what they can do against a top side.

Our current poor run has seen a slide down the table but a win on Saturday will give everyone a lift ahead of the final home game on Bank Holiday  Monday when we entertain AFC Telford United Kick Off 3pm.

Liam is looking to end the season on a high and what would be better than starting with a win at The International Stadium in front of what is expected to be a good crowd.

The Newcastle v Liverpool game kicks off at 12.30pm. We are not sure if that will impact on traffic around the ground in the approach to kick off as the ground empties but be aware if travelling up.

Earlier this season the reverse fixture ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw and at the time we all felt Gateshead would be there or thereabouts at the end of the season and so it has proved.

We have received this update from our hosts.
