Southport man arrested after overturning his car with 2 kids in it and failing to provide

A 42-year-old man from Southport was arrested yesterday evening, Sunday 20 June after a report was received that a car had been overturned in Sefton.

At around 8.15pm it was reported that a car was overturned on Crosby Road South, near to the junction with Princess Way, in Seaforth.

The driver sustained a minor injury and received hospital treatment. The passengers, two children, were uninjured and are safe and well.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a sample and careless driving.

We are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
