Sunshine brings out the crowds to Southport and its looking good for the Bank Holiday

Todays warm weather has brought crowds of people to Southport sea front.The Pier was packed with people and the Ocean Plaza car parks were full.

Space on the beach was limited as there was a high tide meaning no cars were allowed. The beach car park will open again tomorrow.

The fine weather is predicted to continue into next week meaning Southport traders can expext a bumper weekend.

Tonight:

A clear and dry evening. Plenty of clear spells through the night, some areas, particularly in the east, may have some slight drizzle. The possibility of some fog patches forming. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Thursday:

Cloudy to start, breaking up through the morning, leaving a dry day with long sunny spells. Feeling slightly cooler on Thursday. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Fine and dry with sunny spells on Friday. Cloudier on Saturday though with some sunny spells and remaining dry. Long sunny spells and dry on Sunday.
