Two rabbits killed in horrific garden attack in Southport

Two rabbits have been killed by an unknown predator in a horrific attack in a Southport garden.

The owner of the rabbits said in a post on social media...

"Last night for the second time in three years, something entered our garden on Hampton Road and took two of our rabbits.

It was probably a fox, judging by the  scene that we were faced with this morning. One rabbit was left without its head, the other has simply gone.

They were both kept in a secure shed and run protected by a good quality chicken wire.

The wire had been ripped apart in one corner. Has anyone noticed a fox in the area recently? Or possibly a stoat which can also be responsible for this kind of attack.

Please be aware and keep your rabbits secure at night.
