Woodlands – Extraordinary Summer Extravaganza

Woodlands Animal Sanctuary held their first open day in nearly three years last weekend and it was combined with the Grand Opening of their new Cattery, that was built during lockdown 1 last year.  This is the first time the animal rescue has been able to hold an open day since and it couldn’t have happened at a better time as they struggle to maintain the regular income, they need to cover their weekly running costs.

Everyone at Woodlands would like to wholeheartedly thank every single person who supported them yesterday, in the run up to the big day and to all the visitors who came and contributed to the day being such a success.  The grand total raised was £10306.17.  This is one of the most successful events, for raising funds, the charity has ever had and they are incredibly grateful to everyone who had something to do with that success.

From the army of volunteers & staff who have been prepping for weeks, to the businesses who contributed items or services, to those who were there on the day entertaining everyone who visited.  Without this combined team effort, the results would not have been so great, and everyone at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary is very aware of this and incredibly appreciative of all the people who do help them.

To those people who visited and spent their money of the activities on offer, ate them out of virtually all of their food, participated in the activities and signed up to their sponsorship schemes, they want to thank you!  If you enjoyed their event, then they have a full schedule, right up until Christmas, because fundraising is an ongoing daily challenge.  From sports to dog shows, Halloween activities to crafts, there will be something for everyone, so visit their website:  www.woodlandsanimalsanctuary.org.uk or follow them on social media, to keep up to date with the events they have coming up and to hear about the positive impact your money has had on animals' lives.
