Woodlands Animal Sanctuary Open Day

The moment everyone at Woodlands Animal sanctuary has been waiting for since it was built during a global pandemic.  Their first open day in over 2 years, their Summer Extravaganza.  Indeed, it will be, featuring the grand opening of their new cattery, from Pedigree Pens, and funded by an incredible grant from The Pets at Home Foundation, this, they hope, will be the boost they so desperately need to their depleting funds.

Opening from 10 am until 4pm, featuring a jam-packed schedule in their main arena, tasty refreshments available all day long, games, stalls, their infamous dog show, this year judged by Amy, from The Pets at Home Foundation.  You will be able to meet birds of prey, have a dance along with the live music, test your balance on the inflatable village, or aim with archery and of course, don’t forget, the chance to meet all of the animals they have on site and to see their new cattery, with all the cats well and truly settled in.

Featuring, a resident's lodge, rehoming block, maternity wing, intake and treatment room too – these facilities are what the team could only have dreamed of, without that dream come true grant from The Pets at Home Foundation.

However, the daily fight for funds to support the work they do continues and they are really hoping that you are as excited to see these new facilities as they are to show you, and that you will support them, as much as you can financially while you are there.

Tickets are available at a discounted rate from their Facebook event and website> www.woodlandsanimalsanctuary.org.uk/eventss/  Adults £5 and children £2.50.  Family tickets available for £15 which included two adults and three children.  Depending on numbers tickets will be available on the door, but they will be more expensive.
