20 People Now Charged in Connection with Southport and Liverpool Violent Disorder

A total of 20 people have now been charged in connection with violent disorder in Southport and Liverpool.
Three more men were charged this evening (Thursday 8 August) and all have been remanded into custody to appear in court in the morning.


• Gerard Cooch, 39 years, of Merton Road, Bootle has been charged with violent disorder in Liverpool city centre. He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court on Friday 9 August.


• Tom Neblett, 20 years, of High Park Road, Southport has been charged with violent disorder in Southport. He was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday 9 August


• Tony Hazlett, 46 years, of Bank Road, Bootle has been charged with violent disorder in Southport. He was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday 9 August
