25-Year-Old Forward Momodou Touray Joins Southport FC on One-Year Deal

Southport FC are delighted to announce the signing of forward Momodou Touray, from fellow National League North side Chorley FC.
The 25-year old becomes Manager Neil Danns’ first signing for the club, joining on an initial one-year deal. He will become an official Southport player on 1st July.
Touray broke through the Academy system at Newport County, before heading out on loan to Merthyr Town. In that same season, he went on trial with then Premier League side Leicester City.
Touray’s standout season came during the 2023/24 campaign, where he finished as Warrington Rylands’ top goal scorer, netting 18 times across all competitions.
He then went onto sign for National League North side Chorley FC the following summer, featuring over 40 times for The Magpies last season, helping them secure a 5th place finish.
Newly announced Assistant Manager Mark Duffy knows what to expect from our new recruit, having previously worked with Momodou at Warrington Rylands.
Welcome to Southport, Momodou!
