A car and Ambulance collide on Lord Street in Southport

A car and an Ambulance have collided on Lord Street in Southport this morning. The Ambulance was on its way to an emergency when the driver of the car turned into its path.

Very little damage was caused to the Ambulance and after checking on the vehicle occupants the paramedics carried on to the emergency. Another Ambulance arrived on scene to block the road until the Police arrived .

The vehicle involved was badly damaged with the nearside wheel falling off.
