A large piece of stone gutter falls from old BHS building into Corporation Street

A large section of stone guttering has fallen from the old BHS building in Corporation Street at the rear of the Town Hall. Corporation Street runs between Chapel Street and Lord Street. Fortunately, nobody was injured by the falling debris.

Corporation Street in Southport is where births deaths and marriages are registered and is very busy with pedestrians during the day.

Hopefully, the area will be cordoned off before anybody is injured.
