Southport exit the Liverpool Senior Cup after a disappointing defeat at Runcorn who thoroughly deserved the win on an off night for The Sandgrounders.

Runcorn took a 3-0 lead into the break and it was only in the 87th minute that Luke Burgess got the only Southport goal and then Runcorn went straight down the other end to grab a fourth.

A night to forget.
