A very warm welcome to Keenan Quansah who has signed for Southport FC .

Keenan who is 25 joins from Stalybridge Celtic and can play as a centre-back, right-back or central midfielder, he came through Accrington Stanley’s youth academy and has had spells at Glossop North End, Burscough, Warrington, Mossley, Hyde and Widnes.

Keenan was the Stalybridge Celtic fans player for the season for 2021-22 where he had a full season making 48 appearances and scoring twice.

On signing Keenan said “I am really looking forward to the challenge of playing at a higher level, I had a fantastic time at Stalybridge last season and was thrilled to be named fans player of the year. This is a great move for me and I can’t wait to get started”

Liam added “Keenan has been on my radar for some time. He is a tall lad, very athletic, great in the air but can also pass the ball around. He can play in a few different positions and is a player I am sure our supporters will enjoy watching”
