AFC Fylde v Southport Today Bank Holiday Monday

After a 0-0 draw on Saturday at home to AFC Telford United, Southport are quickly back in action with a trip up the coast to Fylde.

It was a disappointing game on Saturday with very little incident. The key moment was the penalty save by Cam Mason which preserved a clean sheet and saved the point for The Sandgrounders.

Liam’s post match interview highlighted some of the issues the club are facing bringing players in but he remains hopeful on movement this next week with the squad down to the bare bones.

Fylde were obvious favourites for the title at the start of the season and currently sit in 5th place after a 1-0 win at Chester in what sounded like a lively affair with Chester having two players dismissed and Fylde’s Bird also seeing red.

The Stanley Arms, Garstang Road South, Wesham (PR4 3BL) is about a half-mile from Mill Farm, so 10-15 minute walk, and they accommodate travelling supporters. Turn left at the roundabout onto B5192 (rather than right into Coronation Way) and it’s a straight road.
