When the game was originally scheduled to be played Telford were cast adrift at the bottom of the table but now they sit a place off the bottom as Paul Carden and Carl Baker ring the changes in the squad and see a marked improvement.
A former manager in Carden and crowd favourite Baker give the game an extra edge, both are very good friends with Liam Watson but there will be no favours around on Tuesday as both sides battle for the points.
Liam’s post match interview after Chester pulled no punches but we have to remember a week ago we were on a 14 game unbeaten run and now isn’t the time for any knee jerk reactions.
Several players were out of sorts on Saturday and it was a painful watch at times but we win together and we lose together and it’s important to get behind the lads all the time.
Telford got a creditable draw at Curzon Ashton on Saturday. They have suffered just one defeat in the last six games, 4-1 at high flying Gateshead. The last two home games have yielded maximum points and 8 goals.
Carl Baker came on as a 76th minute sub on Saturday.
