All the video action and chat from Southport Battle of Bands first semi-final

The Banff club in Southport was buzzing on Friday night as it hosted the first semi-final of the town's Battle of the Bands competition, writes Martin Hovden.

The video includes live performances and interviews with the four bands fighting for a place in the grand final later this month. The bands are:

SOUR NOTE

TWILIGHT AVENUE

CONEHEADS

SLICK CUPID

There are also interviews with Banff manager Nial Carloss and Jon Davidson, a former member of Southport band Same Old Monday which later became Slick Cupid.

And Tom Ashcroft and Mike Stubbings of Burscough-based Some Time Today tell us their thoughts as one of the competitors in this Friday's second semi-final, along with The Coast, Soul Captain and Lazy Sundaze.
