Andrew Brown Joins Queenscourt Hospice in Southport as Lottery Marketing & Promotions Manager

Queenscourt Hospice in Southport has appointed Andrew Brown as its new Lottery Marketing & Promotions Manager.

Andrew is taking on the part-time role with the aim of inviting more people across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby to join the other local residents already playing the Queenscourt Hospice Lottery each week. 

Every Friday, someone wins the £1,500 top prize, with a second prize of £100 and 20 other prizes of £20.

He previously worked as the Group Editor for local newspapers, websites and social media sites including: Southport Visiter, Midweek Visiter, Formby Times, Ormskirk Advertiser, Skelmersdale Advertiser, Crosby Herald and Bootle Times. 

Andrew has been a keen fundraiser for Queenscourt for many years, through organising events including the annual Southport Charity Fun Fest. His mother, Susan, was a volunteer hairdresser at Queenscourt Hospice. 

He said: "I am thrilled to be joining the superb team of staff and volunteers at Queenscourt Hospice. Queenscourt provides compassionate care for patients with serious life-limiting illnesses, enabling them to achieve the best possible quality of life, both at the hospice in Southport, and at home.

As a small local charity with a big reach, we receive less than a fifth of our running costs from the NHS and the rest of the money comes from charitable donations that help to Keep Queenscourt in Service.
