Another Southport Bar and Restaurant bites the dust as The Waterfront on the Promenade set to close

The Waterfront Bar and Restaurant on Southport Promenade next to the Bliss Hotel is set to close in the near future.

A spokesperson for the Greene King said: “It is with great sadness that we have informed our team at The Waterfront in Southport that our lease at the pub is shortly coming to an end.

“We are working closely with our team to support them as much as possible as we enter a consultation period. Our number-one aim is to protect jobs where possible and we will explore opportunities for people to transfer to other pubs we run in the local area.

“We would like to thank all our customers and the community who have supported the pub over the years.”
