Another Southport business shuts down. The Jasmine Tree on Union Street

One of Southport's longest-established Chinese Restaurants the Jasmine Tree on Union Street has closed its doors for good having been open for over twenty years.

The telephone has been cut off. A local resident said that people were seen loading the remaining stock into a vehicle recently. 

A message posted on their Facebook page says...

Due to the current economic climate, sadly we have had to close our doors. Thanks for all the customers' support over the years.Bye Bye !
