Appeal for information on serious RTC in Seaforth

Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred on Sandy Road in Seaforth on Friday 9 December.

At around 7.45am officers were called to reports that a woman pedestrian had been in collision with an orange and grey Renault Kangoo van.

The 26-year-old woman pedestrian suffered serious injuries, and she was taken to hospital by paramedics where she remains in a critical condition.The driver had stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the injured woman who remains in a critical condition in hospital, and they are being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers.

“I have launched an investigation into the circumstances of this collision and appeal to anyone who witnessed any part of it, to please get in touch and help us.

“It may be that your evidence however small, may help us to piece together how this happened. I would also like anyone with CCTV or dashcam that may help to contact us.”
