Appeal for witnesses following fatal road traffic collision in Crosby
Merseyside Police is today, Sunday 29th August, appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Crosby yesterday, Saturday 28th August.
Officers were called at just before 1.30pm following reports of a collision involving a Mercedes and a Honda car on Little Crosby Road in Great Crosby.
A man in his 20s, two women in their 20s and a man in his 50s were all taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Sadly one of the women, 22 year-old Claudia Phoebe Forden, who was a passenger in the Mercedes and from the Crosby area, has since passed away at hospital.
Her next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The other three injured people remain in hospital. None of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing and witness and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
