Birkdale Campaigner applauds reinstatement of Bin at Bedford Park
Thumbs up to news that a bin has been reinstated at Bedford Park after requests from Birkdale residents.
Lee Durkin who is well known for his environmental campaigning locally has been continuing to act on residents’ behalf through the year. This accompanies his ongoing work to improve everyday life in a practical way for residents and businesses across the Birkdale area.
Mr. Durkin has highlighted his efforts as part of his ongoing hope to secure additional goodwill and support from the Local Authority, especially funding for improvements to Bedford Park.
Mr. Durkin said: “It is great to see the bin has been reinstalled near the children’s play area at Bedford Park. Having launched an extensive residents survey and raising this with the Council at the time, this is proof that things can happen with the right level of hard work all year round.”
He added: “Whilst I respect others may also be making similar enquiries, I have invested much time and effort into this particular survey visiting people based in the surrounding streets besides Bedford Park so it is only right that they see that feedback is essential for the improvement of our area.”
