Botanic Gardens in Southport Aviary now open again

Botanic Gardensare pleased to say that the aviary will reopen to the public. However because of the National avian influenza outbreak, we have put some additional measures in place to protect our livestock:

- Do not touch any of the enclosures 

- Do not feed or touch any of the birds or animals

- Please use the hand sanitiser provided on entry and exit (dispensers are installed by the aviary gates)

- Please use the disinfection mats on entry and exit (the disinfectant solution used is animal safe and is DEFRA approved)

All visitors must follow the above so that the aviary can remain open. Unfortunately if the above isn’t followed, the aviary will have to temporarily close to visitors again.
