Brand new Arriva bus breaks down in Birkdale Village in Southport

A brand new Arriva bus broke down in Birkdale Village at approximately 9.30 today. The bus ground to a halt just after leaving the bus stop by the station.

Stuck in the middle of Liverpool Road drivers managed to get past as it was quiet with most people still in bed after the clocks went forward this morning.

The few passengers on board were given a lift into Southport by the Stagecoach X2.

The bus was taken out of service until it was fixed.
