A property on Grosvenor Court was repossessed after months of reported antisocial behaviour, including alleged drug deliveries, noise, disruption and nuisance in communal areas. Merseyside Police and the Merseyside Anti-Social Behaviour Partnership worked together, with those inside removed. Residents are encouraged to report crime and concerns.

02 CouncilNew images reveal proposed transformation of Southport Town Hall Gardens
Sefton Council has published designs for a £10 million transformation of Town Hall Gardens, featuring a Performance Plaza, Mega Ripples, Celebration Dunes and a Botanical Garden. Residents, businesses and visitors can comment until Monday 5 October, before proposals are refined and potentially submitted for planning approval.

03 CrimeSouthport man charged after reported bomb hoax on Eastbank Street
A 47-year-old Southport man has been charged with breaching a community protection notice and common assault after a report involving a knife and a bag said to contain a bomb. Police found no suspicious items during a search. He was released on conditional bail and will appear in court on 27 September.

Southport’s FA Cup campaign ended with a 2-0 defeat away to Morecambe. Paul Lewis opened the scoring before former Southport player Isaac Buckley-Ricketts added a stoppage-time second.
