BTP confirm death of a man on the Southport to Liverpool line at Freshfield

British Transport Police has confirmed that a man has died at Barkfield Lane near to Freshfield train station.

Paramedic and Police services were called to the line 20.28  yesterday.

Sadly a man in his 40's was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances and the identity of the man has not yet been released.

This is the second death on the line in the last two weeks.
