Burglars strike at Fylde Road Co-op in Southport

Crime Scene Investigators are at the CO-OP store on Fylde Road in Southport, following a burglary at the store last night.

At 11:11PM 3/4 men have arrived in what is believed to be a silver car and forced entry to the store. Money has been stolen and in the process, damage has been caused to tills and systems.

The store is likely to remain closed for some time today, while investigations are completed and repairs are made.

We are appealing for anyone in the Fylde Road area who ma have seen a silver car, possibly a Ford Fiesta between 11:00pm and 11:30pm last night. Do you have CCTV or dash cam footage which may have picked up this car?
