Call out for Southport Rescue following reports of a missing person

The pagers sounded early after a request from Holyhead Coastguard to assist Merseyside Police in the search for a missing person on Southport seafront.

Our ATV quad bikes and UAS (drone) conducted a search of the beach and shoreline between the Pier and Plough Roundabout, along with Southport and Crosby Coastguard Rescue Teams and NPAS.

All units were stood down shortly before 05:30, with the missing person being found safe and well at home.
