Lancashire police commented...
This morning, we conducted a warrant on Shore Road in Hesketh Bank and found a cannabis set up which we want to tell you about.
We know that we are likely to get the same comments...

They're just plants, they shouldn't be illegal...

Go and arrest real criminals...

Liked and shared, hope I win...
But, they ARE illegal and the cultivation of cannabis can have a major impact on our communities. Often, there can be links to modern slavery and organised crime groups. Although to some it is 'just a plant', cannabis can have devastating effects and we will not tolerate it.
There was also evidence that the electricity had been bypassed at this property, which can be incredibly dangerous, causing a fire risk to neighbouring houses.
As part of this warrant we arrested a 60-year-old man on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug, possession of a Class A drug, abstracting electricity and cultivating cannabis. He is currently in our custody waiting to be questioned.
