Car smashes into derelict property as two cars collide on Scarisbrick New Road in Southport.

Two cars collided on Scarisbrick New Road in Southport this afternoon at the junction with Chambres Road.The road was closed for a while as emergency services dealt with the accident.

One of the vehicles smashed into the fencing erected around the derelict property that was on fire recently.

The other vehicle involved is on the pavement opposite. It is not known if there were any serious injuries. The road is now open.
