Car smashes into the Edinburgh Woollen Mill on Lord Street in Southport.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are appealing for information after a car was in collision with a shop front in Southport today (Wednesday 26 February). Officers were called to Lord Street at around 1.06pm to a report a black Mercedes had been in collision with the front of a shop.
"There were no injuries reported. Merseyside Fire and Rescue are assisting at the scene and Lord Street is temporarily closed. The Mercedes driver remained at the scene."
The driver of a Mercedes car lost control of their vehicle on Lord Street this afternoon and ended up smashing into the doors of The Edinburgh Woollen Mill.
A large number of Police and ambulances rushed to the scene. It is not known at the moment if anybody was seriously injured in the accident. Lord Street is open with police directing traffic.
