Churchtown and Crossens Christmas Events Earn Praise from Local Councillors

Churchtown and Crossens Village Christmas events ‘roaring success’ say local Councillors

Meols Ward Lib Dem Councillors have congratulated Churchtown village for the successful Christmas light switch on and fair and the Crossens Community Association (CCA) on their Christmas party which both happened on 26th November.  

Hundreds of people turned up for the fair and light switch on which showcased the thriving businesses in the village. Lots of children enjoyed the CCA party.

Lib Dem Councillor John Dodd commented, “The light switch on was a roaring success. Once again businesses, volunteers and the local police worked fantastically to co-ordinate a brilliant event that was fun for all the family. It was great to see how many people turned up to enjoy themselves, gving our local businesses a great boost. Despite the amount of people that turned up the post event clean-up was quick and efficient.

“The CCA once again showed how important they are to the fabric of Crossens, gving children and families a chance to come together and get into the festive spirit. Thank you so much to Eileen and the other volunteers. It’s also great to see how good the Crossens Christmas tree looks!”
