Coastal Road closed northbound between Pontins and Weld Road in Southport

For the second day running the Coastal Road is closed northbound between Pontins and Weld Road. The road is closed for emergency resurfacing works close to the roundabout at Weld Road.

Yesterday large queues of traffic built up in Ainsdale and along Waterloo Road and Lulworth Road.

The emergency works are scheduled to finish by 3.30 today.

Diversions are in operation.
