Council comment on poor water supply at Duke Street Cemetery in Southport

Following on from our item about a furious resident complaining about the water supply in Duke Street Cemetery the Council have responded.

A spokesperson for Sefton Council said: “we are aware of this issue and will be investigating the taps at Duke Street Cemetery.

“Due to the size of the site and complexity of the pipe network, these works may take time however we aim to rectify this issue and restore water supply as soon as possible.

 “We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
