Council progress in collecting green bins after weeks of frustration for residents in Southport

We would like to reassure residents that we are making progress in clearing the backlog of green bins thanks to the huge efforts being put in by our collection teams, the extra resources we have made available and a reduction in levels of sickness absence.

Some areas will have received a collection while others may still be awaiting collection and we understand that this has caused frustration over the past few weeks, we assure people that we are working through the backlog as quickly as we can.

We would like to thank people in Sefton who have been incredibly patient throughout these operational difficulties and ask them to continue to leave their bin out as we will reach every bin as soon as we can.
