Southport man charged over theft of gold chain, ring and cash
A man has been charged following a report that a gold chain, an engagement ring and cash was stolen from a property in Southport on Thursday 24 September.
At around 10.45am we received a report that a man entered a house in Southport after speaking with the owner of the property outside.
Whilst the man was inside the house it was reported that he took a gold chain, £400 in cash and a gold engagement ring with small clear diamonds from the bedroom and then drove off from the property.
Following an arrest in Southport by an off duty police officer Peter Warren Wright, 54, of Albert Road in Southport was charged with theft from a person and theft from a house yesterday, Thursday 1 October.
He was remanded into custody and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday 29 October.
