Task force targets drug crime and speeding across West Lancashire
West Lancashire Task Force – Delivering Results for Our Communities
Here's a quick update on some of the work your local Task Force Officers have been carrying out over the past week. The team has been working hard to tackle Crime, safeguard vulnerable people, and improve road safety across our community.
1 drug driver banned from driving for 17 months
2 individuals charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug
A Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) secured, providing a victim with 28 days of protection and giving them valuable time and space away from the suspect to consider their options, access support services, and work with police if they choose to do so.
In addition, officers have continued to address concerns raised by residents regarding speeding vehicles. Today, speed enforcement checks were carried out at:
Summer Wood Lane, Halsall
Winniford Lane
Church Road
St Michael's Road, Houghton
A number of vehicles were stopped, and drivers were spoken to about their speed.
These proactive patrols and enforcement activities are aimed at making our roads safer, reducing harm, tackling criminality, and keeping our communities safe.
Thank you for continuing to report concerns to us. Your information helps us target the issues that matter most to local residents.
Please drive safely, stick to the speed limits, and help us keep West Lancashire a safe place to live and work.
