Respect for our shopworkers is so important. Throughout Covid, they continued to go into work and ensure that the rest of us had the essential products we needed. Any threats or actions of violence against them are completely unacceptable.

As part of Co-op’s “Safer Colleagues Safer Communities” campaign focusing on addressing crime against employees in store, it was really insightful to meet with shopworkers at their Cambridge Road branch earlier today as part of “Respect for Shopworkers Week” and learn more about the situation on the ground.
