Darlington v Southport Tuesday Preview

Southport make the trip to the North East on Tuesday with a visit to Darlington

It is our last midweek night away game of the season and with just 11 games to play the season is very much alive as we go in search of the three points.

Southport had a fine 3-3 draw on Saturday against a confident and in form York City side on Saturday with the late equaliser showing, that no matter what, these lads don’t give up.

There were a few bumps and bruises in that game and Liam will be running the rule over the lads before naming his starting 11.

It’s hard to believe that it was against Darlington on Tuesday 26th October that we got our first win of the season and we will be looking for a double. We also met in the FA Trophy and came out on top in a penalty shoot out.

Darlington also had a draw on Saturday, 1-1 against Hereford and sit in 11th place and they are looking at making a push for the play off zone.

After a bad start to the season they were sat in 22nd place in early September, they have had a mixed run of form but apart from a 3-1 reversal at York they are currently on a good run especially at home.
