Dedicated Woodlands Supporter Donates Luxurious Weekend Away for Auction

Woodlands Animal Sanctuary have a couple of exciting opportunities for you.  

One of their dedicated supporters, has donated a weekend away, that she can no longer go on, for them to auction off and give to a fellow Woodlands supporter.  Three nights from March 8, at the stunning Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales, courtesy of Warner Leisure Hotels.  Worth a whopping £375 (NB. This is for single occupancy in a double room.  There is an extra charge for an additional person) at this stunning and luxurious hotel, Woodlands are starting the bids at just £150.  The break hosts breakfast and a 3-course meal included each evening, along with live music during the evenings and plenty of activities for you to choose from during the day, including an onsite cinema, quizzes and archery for you to try.  Head over to their Facebook page to place your bid.

They are also running a competition to name the hens they have.  The four newest hens came at new year and are still to be named.  They are currently known by the colour of the band on their legs.  The winning names will be announced this Sunday at 4pm.  The winning names will be featured on the new bird house photo cards that are being produced and will be proudly on display for the Easter Open day, this year on Saturday 30th March.

Tickets are available now for the Easter Open day, visit their website to secure yours and check out all the other events they have coming up too.  All the money raised from these events goes towards looking after the animals they have in their care.  Whether that be the ongoing vets' bills, food & bedding or the boring but essential things like heating and water.  It costs about £5000 per week for Woodlands to keep their doors open – all fundraising events are so important to them.
