Demolition of the old Homebase store in Southport has begun to make way for a new Sainsbury's

Demolition of the old Homebase Store at  Meols Cop Retail Park in Southport has begun. Once demolished a new Sainsbury's will be constructed on the site.

After years of planning applications being turned down Sainsbury's finally got planning permission recently.

The new store is expected to open in 2023
