Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors presented a cheque for £12,400 to Woodlands Animal Sanctuary
Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors, based in Derby Street, Ormskirk have recently presented a cheque for £12,400 to Woodlands Animal Sanctuary following their annual Charity Will Month last November.
Each year, Mike Prendergast, Partner at Dickinson Parker Hill, and his colleagues hold a Charity Will Month to support local charities and good causes and this year Woodlands Animal Sanctuary was the beneficiary.
Since 2009, the Dickinson Parker Hill Charity Will Month has helped raise over £139,000. Clients from across, Ormskirk, Southport and throughout Lancashire and Merseyside have benefitted from being able to put in place Wills to ensure their affairs are in order.
Mike Prendergast said, ‘We are aware that many smaller local charities have found it difficult to fund raise over the last year or so. We wanted to help a local charity so that the benefits were felt within our community.’
Vickie Maude from Woodlands Animal Sanctuary said, ‘We were thrilled to be able to work with Dickinson Parker Hill on this project. The sum raised is incredible and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to take part and donated to the scheme.’
During a busy November, staff at the firm, Michael Prendergast, Leanne Duff, Carole Connell, Natasha Booth, Charlotte Williams and Daniel LaRocque saw over 200 clients between them and were ably assisted by Pauline Winrow, Dawn Joyce and Lyndsay Burns in preparing the wills.
Mike Prendergast said ‘The Charity Will Month has continued to be very popular. We would like to thanks all those who took part and all of our fantastic staff who helped make this possible.’
