Disastrous day for Southport as they are hit for six. Kidderminster 6 Southport 0
A painful afternoon for everyone as Southport went down to a 6-0 defeat at the hands of a rampant Kidderminster Harriers side.
Southport actually started quite brightly and twice got in behind the home side defence without posing any real threat.
It took until the 17th minute for Kidderminster to take the lead through Ashley Hemmings and after that it was one way traffic.
Jack Doyle picked up an injury and was replaced in the 28th minute by Josh Hmami and this seemed to unsettle the side and in the 30th minute the home side increased their lead through Omari Sterling and went in to the break 2-0 to the good.
Southport battled away without posing any threat in the early part of the second period but the floodgates opened in the 68th minute when Hemmings got his second goal of the game to make it 3-0. Goals followed from Morgan Smith on 77 4-0, sub Ethan Freemantle 87 5-0 and Cliff Moyo 90+6 6-0 to round off a miserable afternoon for the visitors.
