Disruptive Customer Arrested for Harassment in Southport Store
At 11:08 today a lone female shop worker called 999 as there was a disruptive customer in the store, who had previously been banned due to his behaviour. Despite being asked to leave the offender has remained in the store and continued to harass the staff member, causing her to fear violence.
Response Officers from Southport arrived on scene within 4 minutes of the call. The offender was quickly detained nearby and arrested for public order offences and harassment.
Protection of shop workers has been a priority in recent months. The positive and swift action of our officers demonstrates some of the excellent work our staff do on a daily basis.
